The first 2 days back have been fantastic, we have enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces!
Animals in Classrooms
Many of our classrooms introduce animals as educational resources (for example fiddler crabs for habitat studies in fourth grade). If you do not want your child to be exposed to certain animals in the classroom, please complete and return the following form to your child's teacher (you may also request a paper form from the office): http://goo.gl/zO2OsI
AIG Nomination Window
The Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) testing window is open for the first semester until October 7th. If your child is in 4th or 5th and grade and is performing significantly above grade level in ELA and/or math, please contact Kristen Argent (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Information about clubs at ACES can be found here: http://www.abbottscreekpta.org/clubs.html Applications will be available at school. Please note, applications for the majority of Teacher Sponsored Clubs will be due Friday, September 9th.
If you haven't done so, join Remind to get email/text notices about school information. More information can be found here: http://www.wcpss.net/domain/10651
Our PTA does so much for Abbotts Creek! Check out their website to learn more about what they do and how to join: http://www.abbottscreekpta.org/index.html
Please make sure your child wears appropriate shoes for days they have PE (no flip flops/sandals/crocs/boots). We want everyone to be able to participate safely!
Thanks for everyone's patience as carpool starts moving more quickly. Please note that things will slow down next week when all kindergarteners are attending school.
We're continuing to work with WCPSS transportation to get buses out as soon as possible. We will continue to tweet bus departure times on twitter (@AbbottsCreekES)
