We are parent and teacher volunteers committed to enhancing the educational experience at ACES through a wide range of initiatives.

Our mission is to support the academic, cultural, social and emotional needs of all ACES students through volunteer engagement, fundraising and relevant programing. 
 
Our activities focus on three primary areas:
  • Student Enrichment
  • Teacher & Staff Recognition/Celebration
  • School/Curriculum Support

How Can you Help?  
The programs we support would not be possible without our members. The most important way you can help the PTA succeed is by joining - every year!  When you join the PTA, your membership has a direct impact on the educational experience at ACES.
 
A few reasons why you should join the PTA:

  • Stay connected and informed with school and community information. Members receive a monthly newsletter via email detailing events, volunteer opportunities, news, and important announcements.
  • Strengthen the ACES community by providing input, volunteering, and networking with other families, teachers, and staff.
  • Membership dues and fundraising efforts raise money to support the needs of our school community.
  • Members can be involved as much (or as little) as they would like to be!  

What Does the PTA Do?
 
Examples of initiatives funded by the PTA include:
  • Clubs (Garden Club, Envirothon, Chorus, etc.)
  • Cultural Arts - initiatives like the Artist in Residence program, purchasing new instruments, and much more
  • Spirit Nights
  • Year Books
  • Book Fair - these funds account for 100% of the Library’s budget
  • Grants for teachers and staff to supplement classroom learning
  • Trunk or Treat
  • Education Technology - Seesaw, BrainPop, and Raz Kids to name a few
  • Teacher appreciation - lunches, events, treats, Teacher of the Year, etc.
  • Support for ACES families in need
  • 5th Grade Celebration
  • School building improvements (painting the staircase, washing windows) 

FAQ's
  • How much is the PTA?
    $13 per person.

  • Do I have to join every year?
    Yes! Membership is valid for 1 year. Please join each year so that the PTA can continue to provide the tools, resources, and materials year after year.

  • Do I have to have a child at ACES to join?
    No! We welcome anyone to join the PTA. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, or any community member is welcome to join. Membership is open to anyone who believes in and supports the mission of the PTA.

  • Am I required to volunteer my time if I join the PTA?
    No time commitment is required. Each and every member helps support the school regardless of how much time they contribute.

  • I want to volunteer occasionally but can’t commit to a board member role. Can I still get involved?
    Yes! There are many committees that need volunteers. Some opportunities are one-time commitments and others may involve helping on a more regular basis. There are opportunities for everyone at any level of time commitment or responsibility. ​
