What is an Audit Committee?
The Audit Committee is a required Standing Committee that must exist in order for our PTA to be in compliance with NCPTA Uniform Bylaws. Staying in compliance is important to our PTA as it ensures our non-profit status is never at risk The Audit Committee will elect a chair at their first meeting, and that chair is a member of the ACES PTA Board of Directors. As such, the chair agrees to attend monthly board meetings with the ACES Executive Board and update the board on activities, issues or concerns.

The ACE Audit Committee
- Composed of no fewer than 3 members; elected by July 1 by BOD
- Individuals with check signing authority, their family members and the outgoing or incoming treasurer may not serve on audit committee
- Responsible for monthly bank statement review and financial review at end of fiscal year (Article 11)
